MORTADELLA
binder
Founded in 2024 by artist, curator and educator Jesse Morgan Barnett and artist, filmmaker and producer Evie Marie Bishop, Mortadella will mostly be a printed and online publication with sporadic installation sites. Past works, current works, and spec-works will be organized through 2-3 issues/presentations per year.
Each issue aims to run within the field of contemporary art through things like portfolio spotlights, current and archived exhibition reviews, instructionals, fan fic, film scores in and out of the studio, interdisciplinary essays, fashion modifications, team sport, venn diagrams, and group portraiture.
Growing terms we’re associating with Mortadella include spec-ads, perpetual stew, exfoliation, casting credits, agnosticism, schadenfreude, mothercore and contrast therapy.
Issue No.1, Binder, will be released on September, 19, 2025.
